Maxwell Tennyson, called Grandpa Max by his grandchildren, or simply Max within the episodes, and known as the Plumber in the first few episodes, is a character in Ben 10: Revamped. He is a Plumber, and for a time acted as a superhero-type character called "the Plumber," obviously inspired by said Plumbers.
Biography[]
Prior to the series, he had been recruited to the Plumbers, and got promoted all the way up to Magister over time, becoming the best at the time. As a reward, Azmuth planned on giving it to him to test as a reward. In the pilot, however, it went to Ben accidentally, causing Max to become "the Plumber" to get the Omnitrix from him. But after seeing Ben defeat Vilgax, he let Ben have it because he was more of a strategic person, and Ben would be better with it. They then teamed up to find Azmuth and get some answers.
In "The Paradox," the duo is joined by Gwen and Kevin to form Team Tennyson.
However, in "Secrets," the team was kidnapped by Azmuth and the Plumbers, and after revealing to the rest of the team that the Plumber was Max, Azmuth demanded the Omnitrix back from Ben, without even giving it to Max as punishment for making the decision that was not his to make. However, after a fight with Vilgax, Azmuth let Ben keep the Omnitrix, and Team Tennyson set out with a new goal: stop Vilgax from executing his "Plan B."
Towards the end of "Null and Void," he sacrificed himself by flying the Rust Bucket (in spaceship mode) through a portal to the Null Void, carrying D'Void with him. The subsequent destruction of the portal trapped them both in there. It is unknown whether or not he died in the explosion, if D'Void killed him after, or if he escaped both fates and is still alive in the Null Void.
