Roland Smith is a character in Ben 10: The New Era.
Biography[]
Backstory[]
Rooter mindwipe[]
Before learning of his true past, Roland Smith believed he was born to a Human father and Transylians mother. He also believed that his backstory when like this: his mother had to leave the planet shortly after he was born, due to her presence on the planet being illegal and she left Roland with his father.
Truth[]
As a young boy Roland was captured by the Rooters, and was given the DNA from a female Transylians to combat Ben. As the DNA didn't show automatically, Servantis gave him the boot, a mindwipe, and sent him to go back living with his dad.
After the Rooters[]
Roland grew up a pretty standard childhood and trained to be a doctor, earning his degree aged 20. Three years later, his practice was blown up by an alien protection racket and he joined the Forever Knights. So, that he could stop that happening to anyone else, completely oblivious to his alien heritage, his ranks rose up until he was a Captain.
His alien DNA didn't seem to activate until he was 32 (Being that Transylianss age much slower than humans.) When he found out he was an alien, he was forced to leave the Forever Knights before they killed him, he went to Tibet and joined a monistery in an attempt to gain spiritual forgiveness. He spent quite a while serving as the doctor for his monestary, until he was found by Ben, who convinced him to help them.
Although he agreed to this, he works mainly as the teams doctor, due to his dislike of violence, but he will fight when he deems it necessary, you should watch out when that happens.
Powers and Abilities[]
Roland is a trained doctor, master in Kung-Fu, and a trained swordsman. Due to past expieriences with the Forever Knights, he has vast knowledge of their ways. His IQ is incredibly high for a Transylians (similar to Viktor). He has also trained his ming to resist telepathic controls or attacks, so his mind is protected from Servantis. He also has vast knowledge of Buddhism as it is his religion.
